Wynantskill-Cynthia Jo (Kostenblatt) Littlefield, 69, a lifelong resident of Rensselaer County, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, following a short illness in the comfort of her home.

Born March 14, 1956, in Troy, Cynthia (Cindy for short) was the daughter of the late Alfred F. and M. Elaine (Tschumi) Kostenblatt.  The Kostenblatt family lived in North Hoosick before moving to Speigletown in 1959.  As an adult, Cindy raised her young family in Pittstown before relocating to Wynantskill in 2000.

Cindy graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1974 and Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in Human Services.

Cindy worked as a legal secretary for the Cluett, Peabody and Co (Troy) during her younger years, witnessing the collapse of the Green Island Bridge from her office window in 1977.  In August 2025, after serving more than 25 years, Cindy proudly retired as a Senior Account Clerk assigned to Rensselaer County DSS.  Cindy also volunteered as the secretary for the Raymertown Cemetery Association for several decades.

A master seamstress, Cindy was best known for her handmade Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, Snoopy dogs, blankets, quilts, cloth keep-sakes, and many repairs of well-worn clothing and blankies.  She was also well known as a home chef, whose lasagna and macaroni and cheese dishes were a prized delight.

Cindy is survived by three sons, Adam (Tiffany Dzembo) of North Greenbush, Brian (Rachel Lahr) of Taylorsville Utah, and Travis of Wynantskill, two beloved granddaughters, Elaina and Clara, her siblings, William, Susan, Daniel, and Terry, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their children.  In addition to her parents, Al and M. Elaine, she is predeceased by a nephew, Joshua Parker.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Raymertown, located at 27 Mason Lane, Raymertown, NY, on Friday October 24, 2025, from 2:30-4:30 p.m.  A memorial service and interment at the adjacent Hillside cemetery will follow with Rev. David Hall and Rev. Dale Hall officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a donation to the Raymertown Cemetery Association, 2237 NY Route7, Troy, NY 12180, in memory of Cindy Littlefield.
