Born in Troy, New York on July 15, 1938 Mrs. Etman was the daughter of the late Melvin and Marjorie (Petersen) Grandjean and for over 65 years, the wife of the late Raymond C. Etman.

Mrs. Etman grew up in Lansingburg and then moved to Grafton at the start of high school. Dianne went on to work in the banking field as a teller and assistant branch manager for over 50 years, retiring from M & T Bank in 2009.  Dianne also ran Daigle’s Store in Grafton for a period of time. Following her retirement from banking, she stayed busy working as a cashier at Walmart for the next 10 years and finally stopped working in 2020.

Dianne loved country music and in her younger days could be found square dancing at the Petersburg Hall and Bridgeway in Cherry Plain. She also enjoyed hobbies like gardening, sewing, crocheting and ceramics. She was a pet lover, having raised many dogs. What Dianne loved most was time spent with family on vacations to Hampton Beach, Sea Isle City, and Myrtle Beach. In between those vacations, she enjoyed camping in their RV’s with time spent at Bulwagga Bay and Alpine Lake Campgrounds as well as traveling around the country to see 48 of the 50 states.  After her retirement, she enjoyed spending her winters in Florida with her family and summers back at her camp in the Adirondacks. Whenever she had the chance, she enjoyed her trips to area casinos to try her luck with the slot machines.

Dianne is survived by her three children; Raymond A. Etman of Latham, NY, Kellie A Kaschak (Robert) of Fort Pierce, Florida and Randy C. Etman (Melissa) of Kissimmee, Florida. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee & Lillian Grandjean of Ballston Spa, NY and Skip & Mimi Grandjean of Grafton, NY, close friends Tom & Marilyn Henry and Maureen Holt (and the late Gary Holt).  She was also blessed with eight wonderful grandchildren; Angela (Scott) Rench, Rebecca (Naresh) Kannan, Brooke (Dustin) White, Kristen (Raymond) Navarette, David Etman, Zackery Etman, Ashley Etman and Katelyn Etman, eight loving great-grandchildren; Rani, Gaia, Mason, Alexandra, Chloe, Viktor, Andrew and Margot as well as many nieces and nephews.
