Johnsonville- Frank Scott Pascarella II was born on May 27, 2005, to his loving parents, Frank and Heidi Pascarella, in Albany, New York. At 19 years old, Frank passed away suddenly on August 22, 2024. He spent all his life growing up with his older sister, Gwendolyn, and his parents in Johnsonville, while neighboring his grandparents. He grew up surrounded by love. He found time to visit with his great-grandparents, Max and Joan Koch, every chance he could. He would help his great-grandparents outside, build puzzles with them, or more often, just sit and talk about life. He leaves behind his adoring grandmothers, Susan Adhemar and Barbara Brust Lauristsen. He also leaves his aunts, Heather Bleakley and Adrienne Peterson, and his uncles, Jeremy Bleakley, Brian Peterson, and John Morrissey. He was a beloved cousin to Ashley Morrissey, Audrey Peterson, Sophie Colton, and Travis and Vera Bleakley.
Growing up, Frank loved his family pets, Princess and Tinsel, forming him into a lover of animals. From this stemmed his curiosity of reptiles and amphibians. Frank and his sister would go on walks with their parents and gather all the salamanders and frogs they could find after a rainy day. With his family, he would explore nature by hiking down trails and taking out four-wheelers and snowmobiles. He enjoyed walks with his mom and when she cooked pancakes. We will always remember Frankie and his love of Thomas & Friends as a toddler. He enjoyed making others laugh in any way he could. He always requested his Chicken Grandma’s apple pie, strawberry frosted donuts with rainbow sprinkles, mint cookie crumble ice cream from Stewarts, a cheeseburger, and Fruity Pebbles, whenever he had the chance. His love for others can be seen in his years spent in Boy Scouts, being a supportive friend, and spending time with family.
Eventually, Frank’s Lego obsession and comic book drawings became a thing of the past. In recent years, he spent his time hiking, cooking, reading, camping, fishing, and playing video games with his friends. Recently, he started to learn how to ski. Also in his free time, he enjoyed rooting for his teams, the Yankees or the Jets. He had a special talent for anything mechanical and enjoyed tinkering and building things using his creativity and whatever he had around him. He graduated from Hoosic Valley High School in 2023, where he met his closest friends. In school, he had good times playing basketball and soccer with all his friends he grew up with. He then studied Exercise Science at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC). He was just about to start his last year at HVCC at the time of his passing. He had a strong passion for exercising and added a weight set to his bedroom to continue pursuing what he loved. His love for others remained throughout his life, and he consistently showed up for his family. He was quiet and kept to himself, forming him into the self-sufficient young man he was. He was an adventurer, a thinker, honorable, brave, clever, generous, and above all else, he had the biggest, gentlest, and kindest heart.
He was preceded in death by his great aunt, Karen Morrissey, and his great-grandparents, Ralph and Marcia Pascarella and Harry and Barbara Brust. He is survived by his mother, Heidi Pascarella, and father, Frank Pascarella, as well as many family, and friends, who love him and will miss him greatly. He was not only a son, but he was our life and our heart. Rest in peace. We all love you, Frank.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 3:00-4:30 P.M. Memorial service to follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to not for profit suicide prevention and mental health organizations.
