Kingston- Helen A. (Marcelle) Lockrow, 87, formerly of Troy and a resident of Kingston for over 60 years, died peacefully, Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston following a short illness.

Born in Troy, New York and raised in Brunswick, Helen was the daughter of the late George and Alice May (Benson) Marcelle and for 60 years the wife of the late Myron G. Lockrow Jr., who predeceased her in 2017.

Helen was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School. After graduating High School, she was employed for several years as an office clerk by the Behr Manning Manufacturing Company in Watervliet. After meeting and her marriage to Myron, the couple relocated to Kingston where they established their forever home and raised their family. In addition to caring for her husband and two boys, she was a wonderful cook and homemaker with a very generous heart.

Helen is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott J. and Kimberly S. Lockrow of Kingston and Randy S. and Melissa A. Lockrow of Saratoga Springs, her three grandchildren, Jack, Landon and Lee, whom she loved deeply, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Terry and Alba Lockrow of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was predeceased by her brother, George Marcelle, and sisters, Kathryn Barnett and Sister Alice Mary Marcelle, RSM.

At Helen and Myron’s request a graveside committal service at Eagle Mills Cemetery in Brunswick will be held at the convenience of the Lockrow family at a date and time to be announced. There will be no public calling.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Ulster County SPCA or the V Foundation in loving memory of Helen A. (Marcelle) Lockrow.
