Pittstown- Irma D. (Huber) Brock, 94, a lifelong resident of Pittstown, died peacefully Monday, September 23, 2024, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, following a short illness.
Born in Troy December 3, 1929, Irma was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Matilda (Maier) Huber and, for over 60 years, the beloved wife of the late Orviel C. Brock, who predeceased her in 2010.
Irma attended, by walking with her brothers and sisters, the Pittstown District School as a young girl and later was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School.
After marrying Orviel, establishing her home, and raising two sons, she took a position as a production worker at the Norton Company in Watervliet. After more than 27 years of service, she retired in 1985.
Irma was a communicant of the former St. George Catholic Church in Pittstown and, more recently, attended worship at Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, especially a trip to Alaska and a trip through the Panama Canal, playing Bingo, and an occasional trip to area casinos to sharpen her gambling skills.

Brock of Pittstown, six grandchildren, David Jr., Donald, Justin, Sarah, Tracy, and Douglas, six great grandchildren, Tiana, Kathy, Gavin, Daniel, Emma, and Blaine, four great-great grandchildren, Abigail, Amelia, Hannah, and Wyatt, and her favorite nephew, Donald Temple. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Carl Huber, Hedy Baringer, Mary Beierschoder, Anna Butori, and Theresa Temple.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 New York Route 7, located in Raymertown, on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-noon prior to the funeral service for Irma to be held at noon. Burial will follow in Warren Cemetery in Boyntonville.
