Jeffrey T. Jensen, 59, of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly on May 5th, 2025, in Ocean City, Maryland.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years Pegeen Halloran Jensen, his loving daughters, Molly (Ryan) and Sophie (Ala), and his cherished grandchildren Amir, Brayden and Willow.
Jeff was the 10th child of the late Russell and Gloria Jensen who lovingly raised their family in Valley Falls. He was the beloved brother of Kathryn Peters (Martin), James Jensen (Doreen), Richard Jensen (Gail) , Rosemary Jensen (Mariana), Dennis Jensen (Cynthia), Jennifer Bergan (late William), Douglas Jensen (Sveta), Sandra Jensen (Wayne) and Mary McNeice (late Paul).
He was the son-in-law of Eve and the late Kevin Halloran and brother-in-law of Amy (Jack), Elissa (Chris) and Nate (Sara) Halloran.
He is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews. Adam (Bethany), Amy (Will) and Mathew (Jenny) Jensen, Jesse (Farhat) and Erik (Laura) Jensen, Andrew (Chris) and Nicole (Chris) Jensen, Mckenzie (Alan) Bergan, Anna (Bryce) and Benjamin (Hailee) Jensen, Paul (Tanya), late Brigette, Alex (Gloria) and Monica McNeice, Francis (Mehr) and Felix Magai, and Finnegan Halloran.
Eileen and Laurie Abrams are also special family members to Jeff and the entire Jensen Family.
Jeff graduated from Hoosic Valley and attended Plattsburgh and Brockport State where he gained wonderful friendships from each.
He was the owner of Precision Foundations and most recently worked as a concrete contractor. He was known for his skills and attention to detail in the “Concrete World”.
Jeff loved animals, motors and music, especially the Eagles, Jackson Browne and Jame Taylor. He enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, mowing his lawn and grilling at his annual Fourth of July party. Although not a fan of “recent” technology, he always answered the phone and loved his early morning Facetime calls with his daughters and grandchildren.
Jeff was the first person to call no matter the occasion, whether you needed a helping hand, someone to talk to or sit and have a beer with.
Calling hours will be at the Transfiguration North Church, 17 South Main Street in Schaghticoke from 3 - 6 pm on Monday, May 12. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at 10:00 am from the Church.
Following the burial at St. John’s Cemetery, friends and family are invited to a gathering at Lewis Tavern, 205 Main Street, Schaghticoke.
For those that wish, a donation may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204 or the National MS Society, in Jeff’s name.
Please feel free to leave condolences, or share a memory of Jeff with his family.
