Kenneth Alan Bornt, 82, a longtime resident of Cooksboro (Town of Pittstown) passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Born in Troy, September 20, 1943, Ken was the son of the late Milford & Ruth (Cushman) Bornt. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by siblings Milford E. Bornt, Jr., Carl, Caroline Surdam, Raymond, Robert and Ruth Bornt. He is survived by siblings Shirley Borter, Roy, Harry and Emily (Bob) Bornt.
Ken was the beloved husband of Anna E. (Valoze) Bornt of Cooksboro, married on April 23, 1966, and remained married for over 57 wonderful years until Anna’s passing in 2024. Ken is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and John Whalen of Selkirk, Terry and Greg De Noyer of Webster, FL and Tana and Steven LeBlanc of Brunswick, a brother-in-law Donald (Kjar) Valoze of Arizona, four beloved grandchildren, Kaitlin Washburn (John), John Whalen, Clayton LeBlanc and Jessica LeBlanc, a great-grandson, J.T. Washburn and beloved niece, Deb (John) Smith of Colorado.
Ken attended Tamarac High School and later finished his diploma in the Armed Services where he served for 3 years, primarily in Germany. Ken retired after 30+ from the Watervliet Arsenal as a Quality Control Manager.
Ken enjoyed traveling with his family to the coast of Maine, especially York Beach and Ogunquit. Ken’s hobbies included playing Canasta and yard work. His most favorite time was spent with his children and grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart and was so very proud.
Family and invited friends may join a procession on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, commencing at 11:45am from Howard B. Tate and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, Raymertown to the Saratoga National Cemetery for a short ceremony at 1 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Raymertown Fire Department, 43 Mason Lane, Troy, NY 12180.
