Brunswick- Lesley M. (Bulson) Waters, 75 a lifelong resident of Brunswick, died peacefully Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her loving family by her side, following a long illness.
Born at the former Leonard Hospital in Lansingburgh, November 5, 1948, Lesley was the daughter of the late Homer and Dorothy (Krough) Bulson and for over 39 years the wife and best friend of the William T. “Bill” Waters who predeceased her in 2009. Lesley and Bill were married on September 20, 1969.
Lesley was a graduate of Tamarac High School.
After graduating and her marriage to Bill, Lesley started her family and raised her children as a stay-at-home mother, a job she cherished. As her children entered school, she took a position in the late 1980’s as a sales clerk at the former Ames Discount Store in East Greenbush until it’s closure in the 1990’s. More recently she had been employed as a sales associate at the Walmart store in East Greenbush until, after more than 20 years of service, she retired in 2018.
Lesley enjoyed the hobbies of flower gardening, crafting, and crocheting; and was an amazing cook whose signature dish was a delicious macaroni and cheese. In her younger years she enjoyed camping with Bill and the kids, anywhere at anytime, especially to Aqua Vista and Moreau Lake State Park and was a member of the former ‘Wandering Wings” Camping Club. She also enjoyed spending many Thursday nights bowling at Hilltop Bowl as a member of the “Crazy Eights” bowling team and watching NASCAR races on the weekend.
Lesley is survived by her three children, William L. Waters and his wife, Cat Pacini, Kelly Waters and her best friend, Jay Gariepy and Colleen Waters, three grandchildren, Lauren Waters, Lindsey Waters, and Bryanna Lord, a brother-in-law, Thomas J. McGrath II and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Lesley was predeceased by her brothers, Edward Bulson, Lee H. Bulson, and Dennis H. “Denny” Bulson, and her dear sister-in-law, J. Nancy (Waters) McGrath.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 New York Route 7, located in Raymertown. A funeral service for Lesley will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial next to her beloved Bill will take place in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made the American Cancer Society or in doing a good deed for a friend or neighbor in need in memory of Lesley M. Waters.
