Pittstown – Lisarose Campbell passed peacefully into eternal rest on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her life, Bryan Dean, her beloved mother Elizabeth Campbell, and cherished family at her childhood home. Her journey through life was filled with laughter, deep connections, spontaneous adventures, and just the right touch of mayhem.
Born on October 17, 1967, at Leonard Hospital in Troy, Lisarose was the treasured daughter of Elizabeth (Jones) Campbell and the late Gaylord “Jake” Campbell. Together with her sister Sharon and brother Paul, she completed the spirited and close-knit Campbell clan.
Lisa grew up in Pittstown and attended the Parker School before graduating from Tamarac High School in 1986, where she proudly played on the girls’ basketball team that captured a sectional championship. Following high school, she pursued her passion for beauty and creativity at Troy Beauty School. She worked in several local salons before realizing her dream of opening her own shop—Lisa’s Place—in Albia, where her warmth and humor kept clients coming back just as much as her skill with scissors. Later in life, she brought that same spirit and work ethic to roles at Albany Medical Center, Van Rensselaer Manor, and most recently, the Rensselaer County Highway Department as Principal Account Clerk.
Lisa’s heart was her true gift. Her family and friends were the center of her world, and she gave of herself without hesitation—always ready with a listening ear, an open heart, or a helping hand. Her generosity, loyalty, and magnetic personality left an indelible mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Though not raised a baseball fan, Lisa found unexpected joy in cheering on her beloved New York Yankees. Spring was her favorite season—not just for the sunshine, but because it meant she could take to the open road on her cherished 2008 Harley-Davidson Road King.
Lisa is survived by her devoted partner of 20 years, Bryan Dean; her loving mother, Elizabeth Campbell; her sister Sharon Bestle (Jak); her brother Paul Campbell (Michelle); her daughter Sarah Kownack (Jay); and her adored grandchildren Olivia, Aubree, and Aden. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews who brought her endless pride and joy: Daniel Marshall (Hollie), David Marshall (Crystal), Darlene Marshall, Victoria Dimmitt (Ryan), Paige Bestle, Jessica Wiley (Gabe Casey), and Mackenzie Campbell and her special pet friend, Luna.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Brundige Hall, located in the Pittstown Volunteer Rescue Squad, 60 Parker School Road, Pittstown. A private funeral service will take place at the Pittstown United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jim Knapp, on Wednesday, April 16, at the family’s convenience. All are welcome to join in celebrating Lisarose’s extraordinary life during a gathering at the Rescue Squad on Wednesday at 1:00 PM.
The family wishes to send special thanks to Dr. Makenzi Evangelist, MD, New York Oncology Hematology (NYOH) NP Maeve, nurses, Amy and Lainey, and all the staff at Albany Medical Center who helped Lisarose during her journey.
Lisa lived boldly, loved fiercely, and gave freely—her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
At the request of the family memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Lisarose Campbell Memorial Fund. These funds will be used to support patients receiving treatment at NYOH.
