
Brunswick- Patricia C. “Pat” (DuBois) Wagar, 83, a longtime resident of Eagle Mills and more recently Brunswick, died peacefully, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Troy Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing following a brief illness.
Born in Troy, April 21, 1942 Patricia was the daughter of the late Ellsworth F. and Catherine T. (Rosia) Dubois, the step-daughter of the late Mary (Insich) DuBois and for over 62 years, the beloved wife of Alton R. Wagar of Brunswick who survives.
Pat was raised in Troy, attended Troy School 12, and later graduated from Troy High School, the Class of 1962.
In addition to being a homemaker, wife, and mother, she was employed for many years at Hannan’s Jack and Jill Day Care and later at the former ROXY Cleaners, both in Wynantskill. More recently she worked as a housekeeper at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. After more than six years of service she retired in 2004.
After retiring, Pat enjoyed volunteering as a patient aide at Van Rensselaer Manor, playing Bingo and taking many short-day trips.
In addition to her husband, Alton, Patricia is survived by her son, Raymond F. (Karen) Wagar Sr. of Brunswick, a brother, Robert W. (Trish) DuBois of Altamont, sisters, Shirley (the late Jack) Kishon of North Greenbush, Michealeen (Tom) Pamukeoglu of Rochester, Debra C. (Rich) DuBois of Buffalo, and Lori J. (Larry) DuBois of Wynantskill, two grandsons, Raymond F. (Cassandra) Wagar Jr. of Sycaway, and Daniel J. Wagar of Brunswick, a granddaughter, Chelsey M. Wagar of Brunswick, a great-granddaughter, Caroline Madison Wagar of Greenwich and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and brother-in-law, she was predeceased by a nephew, Robert D. Wagar.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service for Patricia to be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eagle Mills Cemetery, Garfield Road in Brunswick.
