Pittstown - A Memorial Mass of Christian Resurrection for Raymond Sheffer, formerly of Pittstown and more recently Summerfield, Florida, who passed away peacefully, April 16, 2025, will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. A short visitation with his family will be held prior to the Mass and a reception will follow. A graveside committal service at Warren Cemetery in Boyntonville will take place at 2:30 p.m..
In addition to his beloved wife of 66 years, Louann Merrill Sheffer, his survivors include his three sons and their spouses, Mark (Randi) Sheffer of Ft. Edward, Mike (Patty) Sheffer of Amelia Island, FL, and Rob (MaryAnn Johnson) Sheffer of Minneapolis, MN, grandchildren, Sara Corona (Michael), Jeremy, Heidi Washington (Jaquan), Matt (Victoria), Kirsten Short (Tyler), Justin and Ryan (Sydney), former daughter-in-law and family friend, Darlene Sheffer and great-grandchildren, Lana, Claire, Henry Corona, Stella, Beatrix and Theo Washington, and Madison Short, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as dear friends in New York, Canada and Florida.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Town of Hoosick Community Center, PO Box 303, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090 in honor of his love for youth sports and commitment to the Hoosick Falls community.
