Troy – Ronald J. Bell, 83, a longtime resident of Troy, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Eddy Heritage House.
Born in Troy, October 7, 1942, Ronald was the son of the late Francis Felix Bell and Anna Marie (Hughes) Bell. For over 60 years, he was the devoted husband of Dawn E. (Bulson) Bell of Pittstown, who survives. Ronald and Dawn were married on April 30, 1966.
Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family and spending time outdoors, attending to his property and home. He was employed by Time Warner Cable for over 39 years as a construction coordinator, retiring in 2012.
In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. Burkart (Ernest) of Troy, and his son, Ronald J. Bell Jr. (Valerie) of Westerlo, three grandchildren, Ronnie J. Bell, Devan A. Bell, and Elizabeth A. Burkart, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A funeral service for Ronald will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY State Route 7, located in Raymertown. Burial will follow in Eagle Mills Cemetery in Brunswick. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
