Troy- Suzette B. (Watts) Gannon, 74, a longtime resident of Phillips Road in Pittstown and, more recently, The Elliott in Troy, died suddenly Sunday, July 5, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy following a long illness.
Born in Troy December 12, 1950, Suzette was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Leona (Gladir) Watts and, for many years, the wife of the late Francis J. “Frank” Gannon Jr., who predeceased her in December 2011.
She was raised in Troy and attended Troy City Schools.
For many years, Suzette was employed as a housekeeper at the former Woodland Village Nursing Center and later at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy. She retired in 2010.
In her quiet time, in addition to caring for her family and home, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and watching television, especially shows like “Ghost Hunters.” She liked to cook and created many great dishes; her specialty was her amazing lasagna. She loved animals of all kinds and loved her pet cat, Gizmo.
Suzette is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Francis J. “Lou” Gannon III of Troy and Stephen P, and Karissa Gannon of Pittstown, a sister Ester Watts, and several nieces. In addition to her parents and late husband, she was predeceased by a siter, Barbara Strubel and a brother Frank Watts Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, located in Raymertown. A funeral service for Suzette will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery in Schuylerville at noon.
