Pittstown- Angela M. “Angie” Odmin, 93, a lifelong resident of Pittstown, died peacefully, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy following a short illness.
Born in the Town of Pittstown, November 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Stephen T. and Agnes (Zmuda) Odmin Sr.
Angie was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Class of 1948, and the former Troy Business College.
For over 40 years, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy. She retired in 1993.
For many years, she was a communicant of St. George Catholic Church in Pittstown, until it’s closing in 2009. More recently, she was a communicant of Transfiguration Parish-North in Schaghticoke. Additionally, Angie was a member of the Troy Chapter AARP #3991 and both the Speigle Elders and the Troy Area Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, Angie was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Odmin Jr., and a sister, Helen Odmin. She is survived by several cousins, many dear friends, and wonderful neighbors.
Family and friends are invited to a quiet calling hour at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Transfiguration Parish-North in Schaghticoke. A Mass of Christian Resurrection for Angie, celebrated by Fr. George Fleming, will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will take place in the family lot at St. John’s Cemetery in Schaghticoke.
