Johnsonville- Beverly “Bev” A. (Wein) Brundige-Loszynski, 84, a long-time resident of the Town of Pittstown and more recently, Loudonville, died peacefully, Sunday morning, December 3, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn in Albany following a short illness.
Born in Troy, July 9, 1933, Beverly was the daughter of the late Hans C. and Alice M. (Patton) Wein and the wife of the late Earl Brundige who predeceased her in 1975. For the last 18 years Beverly considered herself to be the “luckiest girl in the world” as she found love and companionship a second time as the wife and best friend of Francis “Frank” D. Loszynski of Johnsonville whose survives.
Bev attended Catholic Central High School in Lansingburgh before graduating from Hoosic Valley High School.
Through her work, over many years as a postal clerk and later as the Assistant Post Master in the Johnsonville Post Office, Bev made many good friends and enjoyed meeting her neighbors. She retired on October 12, 1992.
Bev was a life-long faithful communicant of the Catholic Church. She was a member of the former St. Monica’s Church in Johnsonville, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, assisted on the Church Board and sang in the choir for many years. Later she was a member of the former Trinity R.C. Church in Schaghticoke now known as Transfiguration Parish North, where she continued to be a devout and faithful Catholic who lived the faith she loved.
In her quiet time, Bev enjoyed going to the Racine, taking short car rides with Frank, spending quiet time with her family and friends and playing the occasional “Scratch Off” lotto game. Even though Bev didn’t have children of her own, she was raised in a large family and embraced her nieces and nephews and more recently, Frank’s children as a second mother with all of her love and affection.
In addition to her husband, Frank, Bev is survived by her sisters and a brother, Mary and Charles Zmitrovich of Hartford, Kathleen “Kay” and Fred Tessman of Tomhannock, Linda Kerber of Johnsonville and Dale and Beth Wein of Albany, her stepchildren, Joseph and Debbie Loszynski of Clifton Park, Elizabeth and Stuart Staude of Glenville, Kimberly Loszynski of Buskirk, Bertram and Lisa Loszynski of Greenwich, Michael Loszynski of Cossayuna, Bruce and Wendy Loszynski of New Jersey and many nieces, nephews, step-grand and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and late husband Earl, she was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters, William Wein, Joan Herrington, John Wein, Robert Wein, Daniel Wein and Nancy Wein and a step daughter, Gale Barton.
A Mass of Christian Resurrection for Beverly will be celebrated by Fr. George Fleming on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Transfiguration Parish North in Schaghticoke. Burial will follow in St. John’s R.C. Cemetery in Schaghticoke.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, located in Raymertown.
