Valley Falls- Brock David Campbell, 42, a lifelong resident of Valley Falls, died peacefully, Friday, January 4, 2019, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy following a long illness.
Born in Troy, November 28, 1976, Brock is the son of Albert I. and Lou Anne (Kosowsky) Campbell Jr. of Valley Falls and the devoted father of Gregorie Lecuyer of Castleton On Hudson.
Brock was a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School and the Modern School of Welding Technology in Albany.
Throughout his working career, he was employed as a commercial truck driver for several area heavy equipment operators, including the Rifenburgh Companies in Brunswick and most recently Talham Inc. in Troy.
Brock was an early starter on many fronts, walking at the age of nine months and running “Full Throttle” since the age of two. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad as a young man and was an automotive enthusiast. He later developed a knack for cooking and enjoyed watching movies and T.V. to relax and unwind.
In addition to his parents and son, Brock is survived by his two sisters and a brother-in-law, Terri and Randy Allen of Johnsonville and Jackie Campbell of Troy, a paternal uncle and aunt, Thomas and Lillian Campbell of Claverack, a maternal uncle and aunt, Lee and Sharon Kosowsky of Schaghticoke, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
A celebratory memorial service for Brock will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at the Valley Falls United Methodist Church, located at 16 State Street in Valley Falls, NY 12185. Relatives and friends are invited to call and share “a Brock Story” at the Church on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Elmwood Cemetery in Schaghticoke.
Contributions, in lieu of flowers, in memory of Brock’s “Free Spirit” may be made to either the Valley Falls United Methodist Church at the address above or the Valley Falls Volunteer Fire Company, 9 Charles Street, Valley Falls, NY 12185.
