Pittsfield-Deanna M. (Schroeder) Codding, 38, formerly of Poestenkill and Florida and more recently Pittsfield, MA, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
Born in Troy, October 3, 1977, Deanna was the wife of Edward Codding of Pittsfield whom she married on August 21, 201,1 and the daughter of Robert Schroeder of Poestenkill and the late Donna (Diehl) Schroeder who predeceased her December 22, 2013.
Deanna was educated at the Poestenkill Elementary School and attended high school and was home schooled in Florida.
At the age of thirteen, Deanna was already an accomplished horsewoman. In 1991, while attending the Paso Fino (Fine Gate) International Championships at Asheville, NC, she was awarded First Place and became a National Champion in the equestrian community. More recently she was a homemaker and enjoyed both cooking and gardening.
In addition to her husband and father, Deanna is survived by her three children, Christian Coyle, Jade Coyle and Ivy Coyle, all of Alachua, FL, seven sisters, and two brothers, Laurie Downing, Linda S. Davis, and Tammie Shelton all of FL, Leah M. Hoey of Albany, Sherri Myer of PA, Scott Gwinn of Poestenkill, Bonnie Daley of West Sand Lake, Billie Jo Hilt of Wynantskill and Randy Schroeder of TN, an uncle, Daniel Diehl of Voorheesville and an aunt, Nancy Kimmey of Averill Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Deanna will be celebrated on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10 A.M. by Rev. A Peter Gregory at St. Charles Church in Pittsfield, MA. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Lenox. There will be no calling.
