passed away peacefully February 13, 2024, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her son by her side, following a short illness.
Born in La Paz, Boliva, on June 19, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Valerie Schramm and, for over 53 years, the beloved wife and best friend of the late Richard H. Graue, who predeceased her February 26, 2018.
As a young girl, her family relocated to New York City and established a home in The Bronx, where she attended school and graduated from high school.

After dating and marrying, the couple moved upstate to Troy and then further east to Raymertown, where they built a home and raised their family. In the mid-1990s, she took a position as a women’s clothing sales clerk at the Walmart in Brunswick. After more than 10 years of service, she retired in 2006.
Erna loved tending to her flower gardens, watching her backyard birds, and traveling with Richard to Maine, Florida, and the Caribbean. She was a very social person and loved to visit and enjoy a good party with her family and friends.
Mrs. Graue is survived by her son, Eric L. Graue of Raymertown, and many friends and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Mrs. Graue to be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery.
