Valley Falls- Helene Briggs, 87, formerly of Valley Falls and for many years a resident of San Francisco, CA, died peacefully, Friday, February, 6, 2015, at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.
Born in Easton, December 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Helen E. (Petteys) Briggs.
Miss Briggs was a graduate of former Valley Falls High School and earned a Bachelors Degree from Russell Sage College in Troy.
As an incredibly vibrant and adventurous young woman she relocated to the West coast and worked as a manger for many years at the United States Federal Reserve Office in San Francisco.
Miss Briggs is survived by her brothers and sisters, Lorraine Agan of Valley Falls, Walden Briggs of Raymertown, Beverly Moore of Valley Falls, Wayne and Carol Briggs of Crystal Lake, IL and a sister-in-law, Lorraine (the late Ramon) Briggs of Myrtle Beach, SC, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service celebrating Miss Briggs life will be held later this Spring at the convenience of her family. There will be no calling at this time.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Valley Falls United Methodist Church, 16 State Street, Valley Falls, New York 12185 in memory of Helene Briggs.
