Troy- Janet R. (Jersey) Erickson, formerly of Eagle Mills and Port Richey, Florida, died peacefully Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Nyack, New York, July 29, 1934, Mrs. Erickson was the daughter of the late John W. and Ruth (Tallman) Jersey and, for over 65 years, the beloved wife of the late Ralph G. Erickson, who predeceased her in 2018.
A member of Faith Lutheran Church, Mrs. Erickson enjoyed spending her winters in Florida, her summers in Indian Lake, was a talented quilter, loved to play Bocce, and was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Diane and John Cipperly of Speigletown, Donna and Jeff Hurteau of Poestenkill, Linda and Mark Clayton of Boyntonville, and Ken and Kim Erickson of Melrose, a sister, Nancy Badi of Washington, NJ, and sister-in-law, Margaret Bond of Matthews, NC, 12 grandchildren, Matthew (Heather), Sarah (Blake), Noah (Bre), Laura (Dave), Craig (Natalie), Scott (Beth), Melissa, Valerie (Andy), Brent (Brianna), Ralph, Jenna (Jules), and Emily, and 10 adored great-grandchildren, Erin, A.J., Natalie, Charlie, Sienna, Nolan, Mae, Noah Jr., Raymond, and Henry.
A private committal service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery, with Rev. Kate Drefke officiating, will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling.
