Deland, FL- Jean Marie (Green) Thrasher formerly of Brunswick and more recently Deland, passed away peacefully, October 12, 2017 with her family by her bedside. Survived by her husband, Linus Thrasher of Deland, FL, she is the mother of Mark Thrasher of Belmont, NC, Lance Thrasher of Deland, FL, and the late Christopher Thrasher and Kathleen Thrasher, grandmother to three grandchildren, Kelly Thrasher, Colleen Thrasher and Mark Thrasher and great grandmother of Ashlyn Kraemer.
Mrs. Thrasher was born in Glens Falls, NY and graduated from The Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy with an RN degree. For many years she was employed as an Emergency Room Charge Nurse and Relief House Supervisor at the former Leonard Hospital in Lansingburgh. More recently she was employed as an E.R. Nurse at the Peninsula Medical Center Hospital in Ormond Beach, FL.
A memorial service for Mrs. Thrasher will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Howard B. Tate and Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, located in Raymertown, NY. Burial will follow in Eagle Mills Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
