Raymertown- Louise M. (Deakin) Brock, 90, a longtime resident of Raymertown, died peacefully, Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the Centers for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, following a short illness.
Born in Toronto, Canada, September, 19, 1924, Mrs. Brock is the daughter of the late John J. and Florence Mae (Neill) Deakin and the wife for over 64 years of the late Harry Brock Sr.
Mrs. Brock attended Hoosick Falls High School before becoming a wife, mother and homemaker, raising a family of eleven children and caring for her husband.
Mrs. Brock enjoyed assisting her husband in the operation of the family farm and tending to her garden. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to sew and mend, found pleasure in reading a good book and shopped at Walmart so often she should be issued shares of stock.
Mrs. Brock is survived by her children, Harry “Sam” Brock Jr. of Alabama, Bud and Janet Brock of Easton, Charlie and Donna Brock of Babcock Lake, Chris and Roger Daigneault of Raymertown, “Flo” and Bill McCullough of Bennington, Mark and Dorothy Brock of Raymertown, Timothy and Sharon Brock of Raymertown, Cathy and Alan Wood of Grafton, “Unc” and Kris Brock of Schaghticoke and Louise and Artie Rose of Pittstown, a brother, Charles Deakin of Hoosick Falls, a son-in-law, Donald Cushman of Raymertown, twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, the late Lena Cushman.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. at Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, located in Raymertown, followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery, also in Raymertown. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 3:00 -7:00 P.M.
