North Greenbush- Marjorie May (Coonradt) Leibert (Marge, MA, Gram, GG), 95, a longtime resident of Valley Falls and more recently Haynersville (Town of Brunswick), died peacefully, Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a short illness.
Born in Brunswick May 30,, 1925, Marge was the daughter of the late Alonzo Joseph and Violet Jane (Freemantle) Coonradt.
Marge was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1942.
For over 30 years she was employed by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, Albany office earning the position of Principle Typist (proofreader extraordinaire) before her retirement in December 1988.
Marge loved to crochet, was an avid reader, and enjoyed doing puzzles, playing Bingo, and going on bus trip adventures with family and friends. The Mohonk Mountain House was her most favorite trip, where she would view the scenery and beautiful wild flower and butterfly gardens. Her most favorite pastime, however, was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and was very proud of.
Marge is survived by her four children and their spouses, Paula and Richard Amann of Johnsonville, Linda (the late Bernard) Volpp of Schaghticoke, Andrew and Brenda Leibert of Troy, and Edward and Joanne Leibert of Clifton Park, eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and the many friends she made wherever she went. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law, G. Harry Irvine, and her double cousin, Hilda Brust.
At Marge’s request, a private family visitation, funeral service, and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral service details are under the arrangement of the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237, NY-7, located in Raymertown.
