Eagle Mills- Mary F. Sarnacki, 91, born in Grafton and a longtime resident of Eagle Mills, NY, passed away Friday, December 18 2020. She is survived by her three sons, William, Eric, and Mark Sarnacki, all of the Troy area. Mary was the daughter of the late Lucas Palubniak and Maria Felenczak, both formerly of Austria-Hungary. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Vincent F. Sarnacki, and her nine brothers and sisters. Mary graduated from Bryant College in Providence, RI, in 1949 and worked for the New York State Department of Criminal Justice, the New York State Library, and the New York State Archives. She loved gardening, cooking, reading, antiques, pets, and travel and was a patron of many charities to help animals, children, and disadvantaged persons. Mary was a beloved wife and mother, and a good friend who will be dearly missed and never replaced.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling. Friends and neighbors are invited to attend a spring burial service to be held at Eagle Mills Cemetery at a date and time to be announced later.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY, 12203 in memory of Mary F. Sarnacki.
