Hoosick Falls- Marylou (Tulloch) Lessard, 84, of Hoosick Falls, died peacefully, Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington following a short illness.
Born in Schaghticoke, March 6, 1933, Marylou was the daughter of the late Edgar and Emma (Lesson) Tulloch.
Mrs. Lessard was a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School and earned a license as a cosmetologist after attending Cosmetology School.
A resident of the Schaghticoke and Hoosick Falls areas for most of her life, she worked for many years as a cosmetologist and beautician. More recently following a move to California, she was employed as a cosmetologist at the Cherry Chase Shop in the City of Sunnyville. She retired in the 1998 and soon after returned to live in the Hoosick Falls area.
Mrs. Lessard is survived by two daughters, Nancy White of Acworth, GA and Gloria Chitty of East St. Louis, IL., a brother, Albert J. "Sonny" Leroux Jr. of Louisiana, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lessard was predeceased by her brothers, Ed Tulloch, Gene “Skip” Tulloch, Victor Leroux, Vincent Leroaux and Peter Tulloch, and sisters, Patricia Booth, Doris Jones, Ann Whinnery, Nancy Woelfersheim Theodora M. Matias, Grace M. Stewart and Gloria Rifenburgh.
At the request of the family, a memorial service for Mrs. Lessard will be held in the spring of 2018 at a time and date to be announced. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
