Brunswick- Randy J. Foster, 70, a longtime resident of Brunswick, died peacefully Sunday, September 17, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her devoted family following a long illness.
Born in Ticonderoga, NY, Randy was the daughter of the late Randall and Hazel (Kelley) Parrott and, for over 38 years, the loving and adored wife of Randy L. Foster of Brunswick, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Foster (Randy and Randy) were married on June 15, 1985.
Randy was a graduate of Crown Point High School.
For many years, Randy was employed at RPI in Troy, where she was employed for many years as an Admissions Specialist, while also being a homemaker, raising her family and caring for her husband and home.
Randy was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park and one of the largest supporters of sports at Brittonkill Central School.
Randy always had a smile on her face, a gentle heart, and a caring, kind, upbeat spirit that she was willing to share with everyone. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, loved to grow flowers in her gardens at home, and above all else loved her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Randy is survived by two daughters and sons-in- law and a son and his fiancé, Jeanine and Del Kershaw of Raymertown, Ryan Foster and Andrea Besko of Sand Lake, and Ashley and John Evans of East Longmeadow, MA, five grandchildren, Christopher, Kylie, Austin, Christian, and Grace, two great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Autumn, and one more on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Joyce and Robert “Bob” Foster, whom she loved dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to wear something blue in honor of Randy (her favorite color) and call on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, located in Raymertown. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. All are invited to attend a reception following the service hosted by Randy’s family at the Eagle Mills Volunteer Fire Company Hall. Burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery in Brunswick at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in memory of Randy may be made to the NYOH Community Cancer Foundation, 449 NY-146, Clifton Park, NY 12065, founded by a group of physicians and patients to support local families with the financial and spiritual costs of those diagnosed and living with cancer.
