Brunswick- Raymond J. Trzcinski Sr., 91, a lifelong resident of Brunswick, died suddenly, Friday, January 2, 2015, in the house where he was born.
Mr. Trzcinski was born in Brunswick on September 7, 1923. He was the son of the late Jan and Theresa (Luczak) Trzcinski and for over 62 years the husband of Caroline (Anderson) Trzcinski, who survives. Raymond and Caroline were married on November 30, 1952.
Mr. Trzcinski was educated in the Little Red Brick Schoolhouse at Clum’s Corners and was a graduate of Troy High School. Ray was a lifelong dairy farmer, owner of Trzcinski Farms in Brunswick, beginning his career at the age of eight when he was old enough to carry a lantern to the barn. As a young man, he worked a milk route of local farms, bringing milk to the Troy Creamery and was a substitute bus driver for the Brittonkill Central School District. Ray was a good man, active in the community as a member of several organizations and clubs and, along with Caroline, raised his family in the farming traditions of honesty, hard work and earning your way.
Along with his wife, Mr. Trzcinski is survived by his children; Raymond Jr. and Linda Trzcinski of Lincolnville, Jacquelyn and Lynn Ellsworth of Defreestville, Valerie Trzcinski of Staatsburg, John and Nancy Trzcinski of Brunswick and Carrie Trzcinski of Saugerties, a sister; Marcella Goard of Tamarac, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Edward and Virginia Anderson of Orleans, MA, and Freda and Tom Allen of Clifton Park, eight grandchildren; Damon Travis, Raymond Trzcinski III, James Trzcinski, Sumner Ellsworth, Dane Ellsworth, Amanda Zick, Matthew Trzcinski and Bryce “The Boy” McCue, three great-grandchildren; Evelyn, Dean and Emma as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, from 10:00 A.M. until noon, at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 New York Route 7, located in Raymertown. A private funeral service followed by burial at Eagle Mills Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
