Pittstown- Robert E. Thomas Jr. 63, a longtime resident of Pittstown, died suddenly, Saturday, March 16, 2019.
Born in Troy, December 18, 1955, Bob was the son of the late Robert F. Thomas Sr. and Charlotte (Hall) Thomas.
He was a graduate of Tamarac High School.
For many years Bob worked in the construction trades as a laborer and more recently assisted as a farm hand on several local dairy farms including Herrington Farms in Brunswick.
Robert is survived by a son and a daughter, Robert F. Thomas III and Crystal Thomas, both of Florida and a sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Marc Quinones, all of Florida, a brother, Kyle Thomas of Sydney, NY, a paternal aunt and uncle, Mary Defreest and John Thomas, both of Pittstown, a maternal aunt, Elsie Schneider of Louisiana, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, the late Wayne E. Thomas.
A prayer service for Mr. Thomas will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY Route 7, located in Raymertown. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00-6:45 p.m. prior to the prayer service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Pittstown Volunteer Fire Company, 134 Parker School Road, Johnsonville, NY 12094 in memory of Robert F. Thomas Jr.
