RUTH MORIZIO OBITUARY
Ruth Charmaine Morizio, 94, a longtime resident of Raymertown and more recently Brunswick, died peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late Helene Powers and Philip Birmingham, Charmaine was born on May 11, 1928 in Queens, NY. Charmaine was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Lou Morizio, and beloved son, John Morizio (Charlene) of Pittstown. Charmaine was also predeceased by her brothers, Phil Birmingham and Bill Powers.
She is survived by her loving children, Joe Morizio of Pittstown, Cindy Farina (Jerry) of Brunswick, Lou Morizio of Bolton Landing, Tony Morizio (Cherie) of Brunswick, and David Morizio of Brunswick. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Tracy, Angela, Joey, Anthony, Alek, Jacob, Morgan, Madeline, Belle, and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Aiden, Mya and Emilia.
As a homemaker, Charmaine raised six children with unconditional love. Her home was always open to family and friends who would often benefit from her love of cooking. She was an avid reader and loved her weekly bingo outings. However, it was family gatherings that she treasured the most. She would look upon her family with amazement of all the she and her husband created.
A private Mass of Christian Resurrection will be celebrated in Charmaine’s honor by Fr. Randall Patterson at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at the Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery in Schuylerville.
