Brunswick- Virginia Gail (Stearns) Bradley, 97, a long-time resident of Bald Mountain Road, died peacefully Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Kingsway Arms Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady following a long illness.
Born April 18, 1926 in Rapid City, SD, Mrs. Bradley was the daughter of the late Clifton and Violet (Sharpe) Stearns and for 60 years the beloved wife of the late William D. Bradley who predeceased her August 3, 2016.
Gail was a graduate of Santa Ana High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Gail loved to travel, her first airplane ride was in 1938 and she never stopped traveling after that, going many places in the world with her friends and family. For many years she was a travel agent with the former Fazioli Travel Agency in Troy where she was always on the lookout for travel bargains for her clients.
Gail was a true American Patriot and always had a positive attitude, believing you could achieve anything with perseverance and hard work.
Mrs. Bradley is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, John S. Bradley of Brunswick, William L. and Laurie Bradley of Brunswick and Joseph and Barbara Bradley of Midlothian, VA, five grandchildren, Elizabeth Bradley, Daniel Bradley, Paige (Jasper) Lee, Kristen Bradley and Lauren Bradley, and a great granddaughter, Kiki Lee. In addition to her parents and late husband, she was predeceased by her beloved sister, Laurella Stearns of Santa Ana, California.
A funeral service for Mrs. Bradley will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2237 NY route 7, located in Raymertown. Burial will follow at the Brookside Cemetery in Brunswick. Calling Hours will be at the funeral home on Friday, July 7th from 4:00-6:00 P.M.
