Troy – William D. Bradley, 90, a longtime resident of Brunswick, joined the Lord and his family in the great beyond, Wednesday, August 3, 2016, with his family by his side.
Born in Kane, PA, on June 27, 1926, William was the son of the late John Daniel and Margaret Nina (Robinson) Bradley.
Bill was a graduate of Kane High School and volunteered for the United States Navy in 1944.
He was a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, receiving a degree in Chemical Engineering. Chemical Engineering was Bill’s passion in life, and he applied it in many unique ways, including his own line of condiments, “Bill’s Darn Good Mustard”.
In 1956 he married the love of his life Virginia Gail (Stearns) Bradley. They had three children John, Bill and Joe. Bill and Gail ran the engineering firm Bradley Engineering, which they started in 1963, and he worked very hard for his family and community.
He was an RPI Patroon and Adjunct Professor, Lansingburgh Rotarian, Scout Master with Troop 537 in Center Brunswick and a former planning board member with the Town of Brunswick. When he was young he loved sailing and later in life gardening; his passion was garlic, which he saw as a cure for everything. Gail’s passion was travel, so they vacationed in the Caribbean every fall.
Bill will be remembered for his unwavering integrity and compassion for his family and friends.
He will be missed by his family – wife, Gail, who survives, son, John, son, Bill and his wife Laurie, their children, Elizabeth, Daniel, son Joe and his wife Barbara, their children Paige, Kristen, Lauren and his sisters Margret Ellen and Johanna.
