Boyntonville, William J. Bloomer Sr., 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Boyntonville on September 27, 2017, son of the late Edwin and Ellin Bloomer. Predeceased by a brother, James Bloomer and sister, Ellin Bloomer. William will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Catherine Bloomer, and his two children, William J. Bloomer Jr. and Melissa Bloomer, Grandpa to Aldo and Maso Gironta, brother, Michael (Karen) Bloomer, Tom (Tina) Bloomer, as well as several nieces and nephews.
William was a proud steel worker of 27 years at the former Al-Tech Steel, where he also acted as the executive guide for the Local 2478 United Steel Workers Association for four of those years. After it’s closing, he finished his career at the Comfortex Manufacturing Company in Green Island.
Mr. Bloomer enjoyed raising many bird dogs, hunting, fishing, and trap shooting with his family and friends.
A private memorial service is planned.
